A note from Pastor Randy...

Antioch Community Church is a dynamic, growing body of believers. Together, we’re striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible – a praying church with relevant, Biblical teaching and heartfelt worship, where our lives are continually becoming more Christ-like as we live out our faith by serving others. We take seriously the charge that Jesus laid out for the Church in Matthew 28:19-20 which we summarize in the following statement:  “We have a Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.”

We are diverse in our church backgrounds, therefore, the structure of Antioch Community Church is not determined by culture, business practices or denomina-tional traditions, but by Biblical statements.  We are united in our focus on the Word of God and love for one another and the people of our community.  We offer many opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship.  It is our desire to be a beacon of hope and light to the people in our community and show them that life matters.

It is my hope and prayer you will join us at our Sunday Bible Studies and worship celebrations and help us in our mission to reach everyone in our community with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The Great Commandment

Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: love your neighbor as yourself.”  All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments.  -Matthew 22:37-40

The Great Commission

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. - Matthew 28:19, 20

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. …

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
